Applications DBA Conversion Course

A two day Intensive course - £725 (excl vat)

This course is aimed at experienced Oracle DBAs who want to cross train into the world of Oracle Applications. You will ideally have at least two years experience of standard DBA activities and will understand the basics of database administration.

The course will introduce you to the technical infrastructure and configuration of a standard Oracle Applications environment. You will be taught how to configure, maintain and patch the key components of the environment and understand the key differences between a normal and an applications setup.

The course will guide you through the install and setup of an Oracle Applications multi-tiered architecture, and the key role each level plays within the overall architecture. You will understand how the Oracle Applications environment operates from the patching and backup methods through to the maintenance of the concurrent managers.
